About Us

St. Croix Property Management is just that, a property management firm. While we have the experience and qualifications to perform other real estate services, our primary focus is property management. This is good news for St. Croix, as we are presently the only company on St. Croix specializing in long-term rentals. We consider this distinction a very important one. Our focus is to provide a higher quality property management service to both the property owner and tenants over the long term. Our staff consists of Steve Freeman and Joel Ureta, two extremely seasoned real estate professionals.

Steve Freeman
A note from Steve:

Having properties under management is my most sought after commodity. Owners are my clients while tenants are my customers.

I have been earning a living as a real estate professional since 1976 in some form or other. First licensed 30 years ago, I have owned a real estate franchise office and worked with the firm I sold it to. I have a strong background in construction (it runs in my family); at one time I had purchased, fixed up, managed and sold 25 properties. I often speak with property owners about ways to improve the property, making it not only more appealing to tenants, but also adding value to the property from a resale standpoint as well. I have a knack for problem solving, and I am convinced that my job is to keep tenants happy, yet insure they also fulfill their obligations. Having implemented this strategy carefully over the past 30 years, I have become a highly effective property manager that owners and tenants are both pleased to have on their team. I look forward to working with you to develop a properly managed and profitable rental property.

Joel Ureta

I have over 20 years in the real estate profession - with a proven track record and I am a licensed Realtor®. I am proud of our portfolio of properties for lease and offer my clients an aggressive marketing program, and most important, personalized service. I want to work for you and be your advocate for any and all of your real estate objectives whether you need a rental or are looking to purchase. I have the ability to develop good will, have excellent human relations skills, and I am considered level headed, known for making common sense decisions.

I have been an active member of the St. Croix community for many years and enjoy the people, culture, history, water sports, salsa dancing, and golf on St. Croix. I am also a long time volunteer in community projects and help with Queen Louise Home for Children and Projecto SAL Community Center (Solutions, Alternatives, Liberation) for underprivileged children.
